Social Paediatrics

Social Paediatrics deals with prevention in childhood - concepts, programs and evaluation - and rehabilitation in children. Further topics include social causes of frequent diseases in childhood and adolescence. Epidemiological methods are often applied in the study of these issues.

The Division of Epidemiology

The independent Division of Epidemiology in Childhood and Adolescence at the Institute of Social Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (head: Prof. Rüdiger von Kries) was founded in July 2000. Details on the members can be found here (German only).
